Dr. Jamie Chan grew up in Flushing, NY. She has been in private practice for over ten years in the New York City Area. In 2007, she graduated from Binghamton University with a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry. Dr. Chan then went on to pursue higher education and earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in Stony Brook University in 2012. She finished her General Practice Residency in North Shore University Hospital in 2013.
During her first year in private practice, Dr. Chan joined The United States Air Force Reserve. She wanted to be part of something bigger than herself. In 2017, she was awarded The Air Force Achievement Medal for her outstanding achievement as a dentist. While deployed to Alaska, she and her team provided exemplary dental care services to 13,120 indigenous Alaskan natives in the remote villages of Akhiok and Kodiak. In 2018, she was named Company Grade Officer of the Quarter for her exceptional performance in patient care and providing streamline processes to improve unit readiness. After serving 11 years in the US Air Force Reserve, she transferred to the Air National Guard where she is currently holding the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.
Dr. Chan is Invisalign certified and has successfully treated many misalignment cases. She completed the Dawson Academy Mini Residency Program to help patients with severe worn dentition, TMJ, and bite related problems. In addition, she is trained in the placement of dental implants to help replace missing teeth in the mouth. She loves learning new techniques and incorporating new technologies to help improve overall dental experience. Patient care is her top priority. Dr. Chan believes in conservative but comprehensive approach to dentistry. She always listens to her patient’s concerns and strives to develop a treatment plan that works best for them. Her goal is to provide patients with a healthy mouth that will allow them to eat and smile with confidence for years to come.
